UCLA Pre-Medical AMSA (American Medical Student Association) is an organization that caters to pre-medical students at all junctions of the premed process; from those who have simply begun contemplating a career in medicine to those who have definitively decided upon becoming a physician. Even though we have “American” in our name, everyone is welcome, regardless of nationality!
Our mission
We strive to guide premedical students students in their undergraduate and graduate careers so as to make them the best they can be, both as future medical school candidates and full-fledged physicians. We do so by:

Making students more aware of the rigors and requirements of the premedical curriculum​

Creating opportunities for them to get involved in the more traditional approaches activities such as research and volunteering

Fostering an environment of camaraderie and guidance to help students avoid the pitfalls and common stressors that accompany such a rigorous prospectus.
